This is spot on. Some “Christians” wouldn’t know Jesus if he kicked ‘em in the butt! I would like to see that, however.

This is a wonderfully concise and perfect allegory to some parts of the US.

Why are so many "Christians" so afraid of people with darker skin tones? What up with that?

They have a need to feel superior...and if it's skin color...as in lighter color is higher in their world...so be it.

Never mind if one can't think their way out of a wet paper bag...

Their loss, and they should own up to it...

So very true!!!!!

I've wondered if those "Christians" are actually terrified of what their fellow church members might do to them if they were seen being kind to someone with a darker skin tone. Maybe they aren't personally scared of black/brown people but are actually allowing themselves to be terrorized by their own churches into compliance.

It’s what we must do. I know you long for a time when Trumpism is long gone. I had a good friend and a cousin who died this time last year, and now my grief has turned to gratitude they don’t have to see the current mess. That’s a sad thing.

It is sad but I have had the same thoughts about Sue's and my recently lost chosen family members. Love you. -J-

Agree. There has been so MUCH against the norms. My mother would most likely be mortified at the R's these days.

I know my dad would be dumbfounded by the Republicans these days. He always was a Dem. Through and through.

In the words of Kris Kristofferson in Jesus was a Capricorn, "Reckon they'd just nail him up, if he come down again."

Kris was right. I wrote this several years back when I was living in Oklahoma and was watching the bigots crawl out of the woodwork. Don't live there anymore. Thanks for your comment.

I don’t understand the reference to the gas pump. It does appear to jive with your post.

Please explain. Are you hinting at an oil embargo? If so, it’s not clear.

And John, thank you for reading this, thinking about it and for taking the time to ask about it's specifics. I appreciate you.
